John Kreider is from Alaska and is completing a BS in Genetics and Biotechnology at Brigham Young University. Before joining University Impact, John worked as a researcher in drug discovery and chemistry education. His most noteworthy project involved evaluating the bioactivity of an Alaskan fungus against Multiple Sclerosis. John is a biotechnology consultant with the university, and worked on projects surrounding human microbiome supplements, Alzheimer’s diagnosis technology, generic drug manufacturing, and diabetic medical devices. John enjoys coding in Python, and has written programs that analyze cryptocurrency markets to determine statistical arbitrage opportunities. John is an avid marksman, and qualified for a national shootout competition in his youth. In his freetime, John loves working on small engines, playing chess, and practicing sign language with his wife.
